Hashish
Hashish is the name given to cannabis resin, which is brown in colour and thicker than the whole cannabis flower. The cannabis flower is covered in glands that produce a sticky resin that contains essential compounds such as THC and CBD. These glands are separated from the plant during the hash production process using an assortment of differently dense sieves or ice water bags and then pressed into hash. Hashish is most commonly smoked, however it can also be used to vaporize, spread over the body or added to food or drink.
Hashish has been used for centuries in Morocco, Afghanistan and India. In Nepal, India and Jamaica, hashish is traditionally packed into balls called charas.
