THCV

Tetrahydrocannabivarin is a cannabinoid found in some cannabis varieties. It is relatively rare but has gained strong popularity over the years and in order to meet the demand, growers have started to focus on breeding specialised strains of THCVs. THCV is similar to THC in the psychoactive effects it produces. However, THCV is also known as an appetite suppressant and anxiety reducer. Other studies suggest that THCV could be useful for the treatment of type II diabetes, specifically with regard to blood sugar regulation and insulin production.
