Tincture
The tincture is an extract from the cannabis flower, which is ingested sublingually (by dripping under the tongue). Cannabinoids and terpenes are absorbed from the tincture directly into the bloodstream through a thin membrane in the mouth. There is a rapid onset of effects, which should last for several hours. Because cannabis is not water soluble, the base for the tincture must be an oil base or alcohol extract. Tinctures usually come in a small dropper or spray bottle.
